What is the CA Final Course?

CA Final is a course or an exam is the third level for students interested to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy (CA). CA Final course is also conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). 

What is the eligibility criteria to do the CA Final Course?

One can be eligible for CA Final only after he/she gets through the CA Inter / CA Intermediate / CA IPCC exam and also the candidate has to complete a minimum of 2.5 years of article ship training.

What are the subjects in CA Final Course?

CA Final Course consists of 8 subjects which are split into 4 subjects as Group 1 and Group 2 which are listed below. Click on the papers to know about the syllabus.

CA Final Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for the CA Final exam should know about the exam pattern to understand what to expect on the exam day.

  • CA Final Exams are conducted twice in a year May and November.
  • Exam Medium – Hindi and English
  • Candidates must score at least 40% of marks in every paper and minimum aggregate of 50% in all the papers to pass the CA Final.
  • No Negative marks
  • CA Final Group 1 and Group 2 total 8 papers. Each Group can be written separately. All are Subjective Papers.
  • The maximum duration is 3 hours and each paper will be of 100 marks
  • Only one Examination for a day
  • CA Final Exam has to be written manually

What is the Registration Fees for CA Final Course?

The Fees mentioned below is that the registration fees for CA Final both groups, not Stride Edutech coaching fees. The registration fees should be paid to “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” (ICAI). Candidates can register themselves by filling the CA Final Registration Form available on the ICAI website.

A student after passing out both the groups of CA Inter / CA Intermediate / CA  IPCC can register for the CA Final Course. The Registration fee for CA Final is Rs. 22,000.

What is the Registration procedure for CA Final?

Candidate has to register for CA Final Course by filling Online Registration Form available on ICAI website www.icai.org. in “Course Registration Forms” under “Students tab”.

While filling the online form, candidates should take care of the following

  • After filling the Online Form pay the required fees online using the payment gateway.
  • On successful payment, the system will automatically generate the Form, which is to be printed.

What are the documents required for registration of CA Final Course?

The below-mentioned documents are to be scanned and upload at the time of registration. You can register for CA at www.icai.org. All documents have to be scanned and uploaded on this website.

These are the documents required for CA Inter or CA Intermediate Registration

  • Passport Photo
  • Specimen Signature
  • Age Proof
  • Copy of CA Inter / CA IPCC Marksheet attested by a Chartered Accountant
  • Copy of CA Foundation / CA CPT Marksheet attested by a Chartered Accountant
  • Copy of ITT Training Certificate
  • Attested copy of proof of Nationality, if student is a foreigner.
  • Attested copy of the proof of special category certificate i.e SC/ST, OBC, Differently abled.
